What do I need to Bring?

Getting a Marine Boat Licence and/or PWC / Jet Ski Licence is so easy!

Attend one of our courses and when you pass the STV test, we give you a STV Certificate.

Take the STV Certificate to VicRoads within 12 months. No appointment necessary – just turn up.

Pay your 1 or 5 year licence fee, have your photograph taken.

You now have your Marine Boat and / or Jet Ski Licence.

Please note: VicRoads have Eligibility Requirements such as health, eyesight and previous licence situations. Please ensure that you comply with these requirements before you attend our course.

The course costs are :-

- - General Marine Licence (over 16 & adult boat licence) is only $130 Inc GST
  - General Marine Licence with PWC (Jet Ski ) endorsement also only $130 Inc GST
  - Restricted Marine Licence – boat licence only (for 12 to 15 yo) also only $130 Inc GST (this is the same 4 hour course as the above courses)
  - PWC ( Jet Ski ) Endorsement only Course is only $90 Inc GST
  (PWC Endorsement ONLY for those (16 yo and over) and ALREADY HOLD a General Marine Licence)
Please Note: a deposit of $55 per person is required at the time of your booking.

You must bring the following to the course

IDENTIFICATION: A current VICTORIAN DRIVER’S LICENCE / L PERMIT OR PASSPORT

or BIRTH CERTIFICATE and MEDICARE card / School ID card.

A summary of the required IDENTIFICATION documents for you to bring to the course are:

Option A: A current VICTORIAN DRIVER’S LICENCE / LEARNER’S PERMIT OR Option B: ONE PRIMARY document AND ONE SECONDARY document

A PRIMARY document is one of the following:

Your Australian Passport, your Overseas Passport, Australian Birth Certificate (not Birth Extract)

A SECONDARY document is one of the following:

Medicare Card, (family card with your name listed), Student Identity card, Pensioner Concession card, Department of Veteran’s Affairs card, current entitlement card issued by the Commonwealth, credit card or account card from a bank, building society or credit union, state or federal government employee photo ID card.

Victorian Boat Training run a 4 hour boat licence course (Online or in-person) for the compulsory Victorian Marine Licence (boat) and PWC (Jet Ski) endorsement.

We run both Online Courses and face-to-face/classroom courses all around Victoria including Albert Park, Greenvale, Carlton, Parkdale, Ringwood, Dandenong, Cranbourne West, Frankston, Somerville, Mornington, Blairgowrie, Morwell, Inverloch, Traralgon, Warragul, Sale, Williamstown, Melton & Geelong.

We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 22587) approved by Safe Transport Victoria and comply with all National Training Standards.

Victorian Boat Training conducts Marine VHF Licence courses at various venues and also offers on-water boating tuition.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it to be incredibly valuable. The content was comprehensive and well-researched, covering all the key topics in great detail. I appreciated how each module was organized and presented, making it easy to understand. The pace of the course was perfect, allowing me to absorb the material without feeling rushed.
Additionally, Michelle did an excellent job of providing clear explanations, overall, this course exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get a marine or PWC license.

Hi my name is Jeff, I am writing a review about my experience with Peninsula Boat Training. I had a course about VHF radio Training. I did all the practical part of the course but when it came to log in to the portal there was a problem. Doug did everything possible at that time to solve this problem, but was unable, so on Monday he tried again - still a problem. Michelle then tried, she also had trouble! After many times she was able to log in, which was a huge relief for me. I cannot thank them both enough their professionalism, understanding, and caring. It was amazing. If anyone is thinking of doing this course don't hesitate to call Peninsula Boat Training. The best service I've had in a very long time thanks again Doug and Michelle.

Michelle was fantastic, she is very friendly organised and knowledgeable.
The on line course was great as I dont live to close to the venues where the courses were undertaken, I could study at home and undertake the Test at my convenience.

My partner and I undertook the online marine licence course and thought it was very well done. Upon signing up, we immediately received access to an abundance of training materials which we were able to go through in our own time. We got our marine licenses in a matter of a couple of days and couldn’t recommend Michelle at Victorian Boat Training more!

Mischelle was easy to understand and explained everything clearly made the whole process of learning the rules and also completing course very easy, five stars for her presentation and learning the boat rules and regulations. She also helped everyone set up zoom video lin and I am not very good with computers but she guided me everything and it was a breeze to set up and understand. Big thumbs up from me and highly recommend them for anyone doing training or certicates or liscenses
